Be Yourself (And Love It)

This is the 21st century. People back in the 1900's were always guessing that we were going to be extremely advanced in both technology and society, as you can see in the movies and cartoons taking place in the future. But looking at it myself, we may be ahead in technology, but people, especially teenagers in general, have gotten dumber rather than smarter! Teenagers these days really aren't allowed to be themselves if they want anybody to like them!

First you take a look at the popular crowd, where you REALLY aren't allowed to be yourself. You have to be friends with certain people even if you hate them, and you have to be enemies to certain people even if you love them. You have to wear certain clothes, listen to certain music artists, watch certain movies, drive a certain kind of car—and the list just goes on and on and on! In other words, you have to drown and suffocate the real you and turn yourself into a clone of the A-crowd. As any kind of drowning, this isn't a healthy practice—you'll always have the feeling deep down inside that you'll never really be good enough for anyone.

The so-called popular crowd isn't the only place where you're pushed to be like other people. Some teenagers have created the facade of individuality by being “different” from the jocks and preps. You've got emos, goths, punk rockers, skaters, nerds, and even the ones who call themselves 'normal'. But it's all the same, kinda like choosing different colors and styles of labels for the exact same pickle jar. Nobody's really allowed to be themselves.

Every once in awhile, there's that one person that comes along who's different, who doesn't conform to the pre-approved pickle label standards. Let's say he or she shops at Hollister, listens to punk rock, wears some black and loves pink. This person's going to be tormented and ridiculed to no end, at least until he or she drops the craziness and becomes one of them (and it'll be a good long while before they're forgiven for their sins). They're trying to make this person believe that they're weird, when they're not really.

Their real problem is that you're a peanut butter jar disrupting the perfect shelf of carefully labeled pickle jars. In reality, they are the weird ones—all acting like a school of fish or something like that when people are NOTHING like fish, regardless of what evolutionists try to say. Because you choose to be different, the fish people don't know what to make of you!

If you just keep in mind that those are the weird ones because of their silly cloning rules, sometimes it can be fun to be different, to disrupt their repeated way of life. At least, it's a lot more interesting than being like everybody else. You also have to consider that God tells us in the Bible that we are meant to be set apart, that we are like aliens in a strange land. Besides that, He also says that we are precious in His sight—no matter what kind of clothes you wear or what kind of music you listen to. So gear up, be different, stand out, be yourself—and most of all, love it, because God made you special and He loves you very much.

God bless,

Miracles

Though we haven't been haven't had a show for a long time, and we haven't posted WE ARE NOT DEAD! Now how is everyone? Today I'm going to a homeschool convention, so, hopefully, I'll be back with more than ranting ;-)

Now Miracles, I have been thinking for quite sometime that God still does miracles, here, there, and EVERYWHERE! You may not see any miracles, but it's the tiny ones that we never notice or take for granted. Miracles are everywhere!Big, small, and indifferent! Have you noticed what's happening with Muslims?! They are coming to CHRIST! They have been seeing vision and coming to Christ as a result. HAVE YOU NOTICED THAT?!?! There are people dead and coming to LIFE in CHRIST! I think THAT is something to be happy, no ECSTATIC about. They are dropping their nets and picking up their crosses! PRAISE GOD! Well here, hmmm what miracles? Two letters, U-S! Yes each of us are a miracle that America has taken for granted. But the problem is, we are not the most Christianly impacting country anymore. We Christians in America have fallen short to be replaced with one of the smaller countries. Yes, my dear friends we are a mission field for the Rwandan Christians. ISN'T THAT JUST WONDERFUL!?!?!? The Rwandan massacre brought them into a saving faith in CHRIST! Almost the entire country are Christian! Yes you heard that right! We Americans in general are either pretending to be atheists, or really are! But now God is giving us another chance, by sending missionaries OUR WAY! God bless the EARTH! Now let us be miracles for Japan pray for them! Be the light of the world once more!
"Miracles comes from believing in CHRIST! " -Mari J. Fahel

God bless you ALL!

Creation Calls

I haven't posted in a while, but I'm here to give you the great news! We are back on air tonight at 7! We shall be talking about Creationism and Evolution with our friend, Josiah! Hopefully we will be prepared for it! Personally I don't think I am... Wish us well and be praying for us!

Here is a song by Brian Doerksen called Creation Calls.... Hope you enjoy!

Where do you stand when creation calls and tells you that God is real? More importantly, where do you stand when you hear "...In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth..."? And even more importantly, what do you say when the Bible says "....And there was evening, and there was morning--the __ day"? How do you believe it all started? And more importantly, what does the Bible say about it? Does your belief line up with scripture? If not.... can you really say you believe in the Holy Bible? If you don't believe part of the Bible is it safe to say you believe the rest of it? Since you might question other parts of the Bible? Just some food for thought :-)

Until Further Notice

As you can guess by the title, I'm about to tell some bad news. Everybody knows what "until further notice" means in radio/tv/whatever show language. We're canceling Jesus Freaks until further notice. Of course, that's just on the air. We'll still be running the blog, though, and Mari, our computer whiz (she designed the blog, ain't it great?) set up a Voxli chat room for us. You can just listen in if you like while we do a Bible study on Saturdays from 5:30 to six. We also might run some articles too, like...what do you call them...essays? Essays with different things about Christianity. We'll see.

God bless,

Made to Worship!

Tonight we're having a show about worship and praise... We will be interviewing my worship pastor! We are very excited about this! Be sure to tune in at 7 PM and listen!

Did you know that we are made to worship the One and Only God of the universe? It doesn't have to be a sea of raised hands in a packed church building, frowning faces singing somber hymns from the 17th century or anything like that. Think of it this way, blessing your Father with ALL your might. After all, God provides for you, He loves you, He is PASSIONATE about His love for you, and wants your love in return. Isn't that GREAT?! He LOVES you! Of all attitudes He could have given us, He chose to LOVE! Can we not choose to love Him in return and worship His holy Name? (a little taste of what our show is about!) GOD BLESS ALL!

Titles? Ha! I live on the WILD side... I laugh at the face of titles! HAHAHA!

Well, the show went wonderfully! 85 listeners, a few callers and 2 downloads! How on earth did I come to this?! A ragtag ministry to a popular radio show!? Where did this come from?! It is amazing where God has placed me... And I shall bloom right where I'm planted! :-D I am so thankful for Sally, and her father! Thanks guys for EVERYTHING!

This blog is coming along great....... Hope you guys are navigating well! :-D Soon our site shall be finished! :-D But until then....... we'll stick with the blog....ENJOY IT GUYS!!!!!!!! COME AGAIN NEXT WEEK!

My first post!

Well, here I am. Mari keeps getting after me for not posting...So. I think it's amazing that I've gone from just a nobody to a radio show that's had over 230 listens. I was never prepared to be an influence like this, but hey, God guides us down roads that we don't always know where we're going...

Just so you know, on the header I am the one with the blue hair and a J on my shirt....Mari is the one with "ginger" hair. It took me five whole days to get that picture to look the way I wanted it to! Mari has done an awesome job with the template. And here I thought I was the template expert. haha

Tonight our show is going to be about how Jesus lives in us, and about being Christlike. You can call in if you want--go to our show page on BlogTalkRadio, the call in number is right above the episode description. Call in with your questions, or, if you don't quite like having your voice on air (stage fright maybe?), you can come into the chatroom and ask, or you can comment on this post if you like. Also, Mari has posted something that you should look at, she's asking YOUR opinions on some things in relation to our comments.

Well, since Mari posted her favorite music....I will post mine...If you didn't already know, I am quite the metalhead. I love Christian heavy metal and hard rock, though I listen to other things as well, so I'm not going to blow your ears out on the radio show. Mari's making sure of that. :3

My most favorite singer...Hmm. I usually listen to bands, actually...but I'd have to say Britt Nicole is my favorite singer. Not heavy metal, but still.

My absolute favorite band is Thousand Foot Krutch, then Skillet, then Fireflight. And Flyleaf.

Good Afternoon!

Well guys, the day has come for the radio show... I'm nervous, but probably not as nervous as last time... I'm more prepared at this moment. But there is one thing I'd like to do... QUESTION TIME! And no, I'm not answering them I'm ASKING them! Firstly, Who would you say Jesus is? You may think this is an invalid question, but it has everything to do with our faith, how we act and how we are portrayed... Who do YOU say that Jesus is? It took a while for me to figure this out, but Jesus wasn't God, at least to me until last Friday... Yes, I knew He was God (head knowledge) But I never got close to Him (heart knowledge) Secondly, Do you believe in the "red letters"? The words of Jesus? Each and every one of them? Now some of you will nod and say "Yes, I do" But you don't... and the sooner you realize this the better! There has to be millions of people who don't agree with the "red letters" in the Bible. Thirdly, Do you love God? In the Bible Jesus said that "if you love Me you will do my commandments" That doesn't mean that you follow His every commandment in legalism, though, but quite the contrary you follow His commandments in the Word, and in your heart (that still small voice)... Yes, this is a tough subject for some of you, but don't worry, it was tough for me to come out and say it... But it needs to be revealed...
